Colours of love.by derekComment: Fantastic visual effect-- lack of focus works amazingly well in this shot. Deeply saturated colors almost draw me into the frame. Very nice! |

Front Rowby AzrifelComment: Very nice lineup; line draws my eye across the frame very well. I would recommend cropping out the spot at the lower left corner of the frame (lens flare?)-- spectators also draw away from the overall impact, as well. Overall, though, quite nicely done! |

Kosmic Keyboardby CLarson557Comment: Very interesting effect. What did you use as a filter? Decent approach to the challenge, but the colors of the border really detract from your overall shot, in my opinion. |

Springby bioshoreComment: Nice approach to the subject. A couple of things that might improve the shot (in my opinion) are to try to but the tree at such an angle that you can lighten the shot overall while cropping out (or avoiding entirely) the blown-out sky. Perhaps a shot even from a slightly different angle that would show a better reflection... |

shadeby quicksand84Comment: Very nice, vibrant colors! Definitely meets the challenge well. Broader DOF might have served this shot better (in my opinion). |

Spring is tryingby nitro102Comment: Very nice contrasts between the dark green and the snow. I found myself trying to turn my head to orient myself within the shot-- maybe a more shallow angle (it seems almost vertical) might be a better approach. |

Purple Light Studyby AnnidaComment: Very interesting effect... pretty tough shot due to the potential over/under exposure of the lamp. Might benefit from some additional external lighting to allow a shorter exposure time. |

A view over the cityby BrunocancadoComment: Very interesting abstract effect you have achieved here! Not personally my favorite, but definitely draws the attention away from whatever the scene was and directs it simply to the color that is there... it meets the challenge quite well. I think the shot may have been improved a bit if the bottom were cropped off slightly, removing the faint red 'smear' and keeping the overall shot consistent. |

'Pi' in the eye. by casualguyComment: Fantastic shot! Too bad I can't vote on this one (not a member)... I have to say your effect is absolutely incredible!!! Aside from the effect, I love the detail of this macro shot. On the downside, the overexposed portion around the top and right edges does take away from the overall impact of the shot. Hope this one does well for you! |

A Colourful Snackby jimmythefishComment: Great use of the rule of thirds... and fantastic color! Receding focus on the flower really draws my attention back to the main subject. --10 |
