woman in sheep's clothingby SeanachaiComment: Really can't make up my mind about this - I've avoided it a fiar bit so far. Good texture in the hair/hat/whatever. Intriguing compositionally, but perhaps overall not interesting. Has a suggestion of a Judge's wig maybe ... sort of disturbing :-) Good entry though, be very intrigued to see where it places. |

Rootsby miss cComment: A touch too confused as a composition for me. Like the tones, like the sense of fragility. Doesn't speak of texture to me exactly, but there is a certain quality of light that I do quite like here. |

Mud, Glorious Mudby sulamkComment: Very detailed, very realistic - which is what might be bothering me about it - just too simplistic an image. Don't find a great deal to hold my attention in it. Some sense of texture atleast, which is more than many managed. very even light, almost like laboratory conditions. |

Vintage Powder Boxby SamaraComment: Good scene of its type - rather bucolic perhaps. Your lighting could have been better to emphasise the texture here, like this its rather flat, and perhaps in the end its a simple figurative representation of the decoration. |

Bell'Italiaby shardyComment: Perhaps not enough regularity in this rhythmical composition to make it work - this kind of thing really needs to be almost absolutely regular to be effective, and this is broken up too much. Light is good, and detailing, though somehow not a reat deal of feel of texture comes through. |
