Life Saver Splashby trevytrevComment: Half of me wants to be all jaded and say...'Oh another object dropped into water' yet for some reason (possibly the clarity of the lettering on the sweet, this takes a brilliant but slightly (DPC) overused concept and still gives it appeal beauty and uniqueness 9 |

O P T I M I S Mby RetroesqueComment: Lisa
I have to say that when I saw this I got it straight away.
One of my favourite concepts for the whole of this challenge although if I am being 100% honest I would say that a couple of the techincals did not do it any favours (the slightly off horizontal and the back drop colour)
Still think it is a great shot and congrats on a top 50 finish

Only you can decide.........by Shy ClickerComment: Oh my goodness, I cannot believe this picture finished with the score it did. Well If it is any consolation I thought it was great and am the person who scored it 8
IMO - It met the challenge fully (unlike many which were great pictures but not motivational) the image complemented the title, the image itself was very good, nice unusal POV. Good focus and the white sky that others did not like for me gave it a sense of light and hope...Ohhh and I liked the type and thought the cloud like bubble worked well
In DPC there are always enough people to tell you why a picture is not good, but let me try and counterbalance that by saying this is a damned fine shot of which you should be proud
Great job |

Stillby KarenNfldComment: Nice shot of contrasts here, the wonderful primary colours of the boat which contrast with the drab water and wood and the boat itself which at the same time both complements and is diametrically different from the horizontal and wooden slats of the pier
Another of your shots which I could envisage hanging on the wall of a trendy eaterie
Good job |

at the local cafeby rozComment: Cool image
Reminds me of the stuff a chap used to do for the punk fanzines and magazines when I was younger (God showing my age here)
Congrats on the great finish....A definite OOB and brilliant for it (and I am so glad that it got recognised as such by the voters) |

Andy, 40by RetroesqueComment: Lisa
Well Andy cannot fail to be happy with the outstanding gift he got you for your 40th if this is the type of stuff you are going to produce with it. This is a wonderful capture, full of humanity and love (the conversion is fantastic, especially the eyes)
Brilliant image (and no way not better than mine in the same FS)
A very belated happy birthday, enjoy your gifts

Sunset Eruptingby cginoComment: Colleen
Well I gave this a 9 during the challenge and was delighted to see it do so well. It is not only the sky that is on fire at the moment it is also your photography
Many many congratulations on both the new PB and the brilliant 4th place in a Free Study (hell of an achievement) |

Missing Youby colorcarnivalComment: Michelle
Congratulations on producing a picture that is both poigniant and funny. A brilliantly composed composite that tells a story
Sorry it fell agonisingly short of the 6. It deserved that and much much more
Brilliant shot
