Not my original idea but say these in walgreens and decided to go this route. Much harder than I anticipated. Problem one was focus and compostion since the life saver would move about in random fashion once hitting the water. Problem two was you could drop a life saver about two times before it disolved too much and started clouding the water and becoming mush. This does appear over sharpened but that is b/c the focus was not dead on but close enough, so I cranked Smart sharpen a couple times and selectivly on some parts of the shot. Hope it get close to 6, we'll see

Nice!! Love these types of images. Well done, crisp detail, very clean looking. It's interesting to see how the water forms at the top!

Very cool. Did you take this shot through a glass or what?

Very nice idea and composition. Though the focus point is a bit off, it needs more DOF in the front of the shot.

Half of me wants to be all jaded and say...'Oh another object dropped into water' yet for some reason (possibly the clarity of the lettering on the sweet, this takes a brilliant but slightly (DPC) overused concept and still gives it appeal beauty and uniqueness 9

really cool take on the challenge - i like the connection to the other kind of lifesaver - the front edge of the lifesaver is just not quite sharp enough to really jump off the screen but it still is a really good image 6
