I will be honest and say I wish it was for one of your less contrevesial shots.

I totally get the quality of the shot, the quality of the PP and the message that it is trying to convey but hardly one to hang over your wall

Actually given that shots like this can get marked down by some voters the fact that you have ribboned with it speaks volumes for the power and technicals of the shot

Well I am not quite sure what parcheesi is but this is a nice photo.

Compositionally strong (I like the gentle bokeh) although possibly the dice could have been moved a fraction to the right so they hit a rule of thirds point. The border works well. I quite like the muted colour of the board and the pieces but perhaps the contrast could have been played with just to give a little more 'pop' to the dice.

Ron...Blimey another 6+, another front page and yet another weird creature

I have to say I loved some of the alternate views of distance in the challenge and this was one of those because it encapsulated both a very short distance and at the same time (for the ant) quite a considerable one

The bokeh on this really gave the shot a boost in terms of pop

I love moon shots, and this is a real classic of the genre. Certainly I would be mightily hacked off if I had taken it and it had scored less than a 6. It may simply be that there have been quite a few in recent weeks and people are getting a bit blase about what is a beautiful subject fantastically executed
