Sanctuaryby xianartComment: What a brilliant SP!!!! Love the composition and the fact that although the viewer can only see one eye it is that which dominates the farme. Great focus and textures on the book as well which mean they compliment the shot rather than simply feeling like a prop. Bump to 9 |

Refractions of Meby timfythetooComment: Wow, I appreciate that the multiple images in water drops has been done before (but then again hasnt everything) but I really like the use of this technique as a SP (especially as it took me a moment to realise the bokeh background included your face.
Brilliant colours and great sharpness in the face in the drops. I have no idea how you did this but I am very jealous
Good luck |

tinman IIby lowonenergyComment: Well I am really struggling with this shot. I get the feeling that it will be an image that people either love or hate. Technically I have to say that it looks far superior than anything I could do but the image itself seems to be caught in between two stools of a) being 'in your face' but b)not being in your face enough (almost as if it has been slightly tempered so as not to 'shock' the viewer and as a result is a little cold and clinical rather than emotional)
I have no doubt it will beat my own effort in the challenge and its a shot I really WANT to like but somehow cant.
Apologies if this seems somewhat incoherant, I guess I am just thinking out loud |

Child of a coal mineby short_ribsComment: Well I am very envious at the way you have brought out your eyes. Very very powerful whilst not feeling over done in the least great framing with the hair as well |

Guiltyby libertyComment: No idea who this is but thats a cracking SP. I love the composition and the starkness of the high key/low key B&W with the desated eyes.
Kinda looks like a shot from some futuristic urban movie but without being overtly threatening or agressive
Great shot - 8 |

Try Againby CharleneComment: I love the expression on Nicole's face in this shot, a nice mix of insouciance and little girl lost. For me the black and white worked well, it was just a bit of a shame that the girl with ear muffs skated into the frame beacuse without her I think this would have scored very very well. Impressive amount of comments means that at least you provoked a reaction (and generally a very good one given you ave score per commenter)

Holiday Glowby colorcarnivalComment: Well given your score range went from 6.5432 to 2.0000 it looks like about half the literalists were on holidays!
The thing I really like about your images generally is that they are just so out there, no compromise to try and garner votes just shots that YOU like, which is why I guess your score tends to be either at the top end of the range or towards the lower end
Guess it was a bit harsh for my taste (but remember I am old and dull) but I really liked what you were going for and the fact that the red and green was so vibrant and in your face |

Running Through My Veinsby KarenNfldComment: Karen, this was my favourite of the many leaf shots in the challenge. Super filled frame and a shot that conveys both the strength and fragility of plant life. Love the way the green is bleeding into the red like ink spilled on a tissue
Cracking sharpness too |

from nature - with complimentsby rozComment: Coooooooool macro Roz and the electric blue of the insects head (are they naturally that colour in Oz or did you spray paint it? ;-) ) goes brilliantly with the gentler pastels of the flowers
As ever the dof and sharpness are just bang on.
Another great shot from a great photographer |

Self-harmby jimnessComment: Owwwwww!!!! You sicko!!! What a fantastic fantastic image for the challenge and quite unlike any I have seen whilst scoring. The fantastic thing though is that it is not just a cleaver idea, but it had been wonderfully executed. Amazing composition and expressions and a superb B&W conversion.
Really hope this does well for you - 10 from me |
