Pelican on the Halifax Riverby AliciaComment: Alicia
This is simply fantastic and is one of my all time favourite's of your shots
love the fact that you have achieved a wonderful sharpness and detail on the pelican and that this then merges with a heavily processed background which is almost like an impressionist painting.
Great image |

Night Vision Glasses - A gift only a Dad would loveby bassboneComment: Peter....I thought this was what all Nikon users looked like permanently!
A great fun photo, I love the outstanding depth and vibrancy of the red that you achieved on the desat, which works fantastically given the richness of the tomes of the black and white portion of the shot
This shot just made me laugh out loud when I saw it during scoring...Your steadfast expression is priceless given your accessory!
Nice start to the year |

day 4. january 08. where i live. not time lapse ??!!by rozComment: Roz
Regardless of whether this is allowed in the challenge or not you should comfort yourself with the knowledge that you have taken and created an amazing image
I love the POV and the marvellous way you have combined the images without any degradation.
Superb colouring as well
I really think this is one that you should print large and give to Tim, he will adore it and it would be an amazing addition to any wall
For what its worth is gets a ten from me!!!!

Wovenby MelethiaComment: Deb, great shot. I love the composition which means you not only get a range of textures on the sandbag but also that the shot has a real 3d feel to it that gives it tones of pop
Duper duotone conversion as well which is strong enough to give the image feeling but not overpowering to the extent that you lose the 'feel' of what is being photographed |

Besh-Ba-Gowahby BAMartinComment: Super shot and so close to another 6 average. I cant pretend to understand what the title means but I do love the fact that you have captured a range of textures from the gritty floor to the incredible smoothness of the pot in the far corner and that this is combined with a really subtle range of red/brown tones

Natural Fur Coatsby CharleneComment: Aw shucks Charlene it was my pleasure. I love the fact that you got two contrasting textures in this shot and the composition is great especially with the 'main' leaf running straight up a rule of thirds line. Equally I think the colours and sharpness are spot on
Fantastic photo and deserved to score higher |

A Star is Bornby colorcarnivalComment: Well I have to say that your comments on this photo made me laugh out loud!
I love the spectral flare at the bottom of the star....very cool. I would agree with Deb though and say the brown of the door (?) in the background does detract a tad from the wonderful sharpness of the main image |

Lens Baby Alleyby jackal9Comment: Happy New Year jack....Nice job playing with what I am guessing was a Christmas present. This feels like I am falling through time to this alley (it made me think of the first terminator film)
Love the fact that even with the new lens you have still managed to keep the colours so vibrant throught the shot |

It should be here somewhereby CamabsComment: Sometimes is breaks your heart to know that you are right about something and I am truely sorry that my original comment turned out to be right and that you did suffer at the hands of speed voters. Look at the difference between the average mark of those commenting and your overall average score and you will see that those who saw the hidden city truely loved this
I have put this is in the Posthumous Ribbons Of The Week I hope that is OK
A great shot |

Craneby huntcaComment: Wow!!!!! A photograph that both fills me with awe and a touch of jealousy (we have cranes near my home...why didn't I think of this). A shot that has masses of power about it. Beautifully composed and PP's to maximise the images many strong points
Simple yet majestic
Great job |
