i think you have been taking some great shots in this side challenge, but this one knocks them all into a cocked hat..Stunning backdrop which the foreground adds to magnificently especially in the B&W medium.. My bet is that this picture would be better than anything that came out of the shop that it captures
Openning the thumbnail gave me a wonderful 'wow' moment
Fantastic! Thank you |

Poppiesby MelethiaComment: Deb
interesting shot, I cant lie and say its my favourite of yours in the B&W challenge, but what I can say is that I love the fact that a real photographer can see beauty in perhaps the most unexpected places. Your railway station shots always get that across to me and this one does too |

Black&Steelby doc_gonzoComment: I really like the minimalism of this shot but the fact that every pixel (including the 'dead' space is just right)
Different and I like it a lot |

Day 6 - Newport Jettyby sherpetComment: This is beautiful
Absolutely outstanding sharpness tones and contrast
The shadows of the fencing are really tight and appealing |

barn1.jpgby dsternerComment: Love the perspective (what did you do, dig a hole???) which makes for a great image
Possibly could have had a bit of tonal/contrast tweaking

the-parkby poserComment: OK, a couple of things here...
Nice image in itself, but having looked at the original shot I can only applaud you in the pp work you have done on this shot, which has really paid dividends on this image
I know from previous posts/entries you say you have been struggling a bit with PP but you have cracked it in this shot BIG TIME!!!! |

Same Cat Different Dayby AliciaComment: Great leading lines created by the sun, and the strip of light makes for a great frame for the cat
I struggle personally with sharpening on my own shots...I love clear but sometimes overdo it a fraction and possibly the same is true here
Dont know why but I also find the tablecloth in the background really appealing for some reason |

Bath Time (Day 6)by colorcarnivalComment: I love this perspective, the dog almost seems to have a human/alien type body (goodness does that make any sense at all?)
Dof is wonderful
the pupils of the dogs eyes seem a touch off (almost like red eye in B&W)
Really like this as an offbeat (and for some reason slightly scary) shot |
