Waiting for the trainby MelethiaComment: ha, I just noticed I was on 499 comments so who better to give my 500th shot to than my favourite station stalker!!!
This image captures the idea of a commute to me (albeit when I do it there are loads more people on the platform) in that everyone tries to get as far from other people as is possible and generally try to out and out ignore the fact that there are other humans near them
Love the contrasts on this and I have to say that every person is a source of intrigue to me.
Mind you I bet that the chap in the foreground is the sort of person who stops at the top of escalators to extend his bag and causes mass pile ups behind him (grrrrrr one of my pet peaves)
Reflections in what I guess is a double decker train are awsome and I like the really germanic writing on the train. So many things of interest here

LOVEby RetroesqueComment: Lisa...I should have guessed that after unloved there could only come one thing
What a greta portrait. The expression on the childs face is just to die for, I love the way you have caught the most beautiful of smiles and the single eye looking over the glasses
The arms around the adults shoulders are fantastic in that they dont draw your eye to them straight away but when you do see them you realise they set the shot of to perfection
Beaut!!! |

wonderful shot which (for me) almost has an Ansell Adams quality to it
The skyline is excellent and the the comparison with the trees on the hilltop horizon is perfection!!! |

Day 15 - Coiled Rope by sherpetComment: I know that you say you are playing around with textures in this challenge and this is another one that works really well. I am so impressed with the way you use contrast to really bring the shot to life
A shot that would have done very well in contre jour. The slight lens flare is a very minor detraction but given the angle its impossible to see how this could be avoided...another wonderful entry |

Daisy - 15by JutildaComment: :-)))))
I have a new favourite of yours in this challenge!!!!
Absolutey wonderful contrasts for an absolutely wonderful image. I love the curve of the stem and how it contrast the outward curves of the petals
Stunning lighting and the border works to perfection

Day 15 - Rowes Wharf Hotelby CapeSailComment: You have a real talent in terms of abstract architecture, as you know I loved yesterdays shot but this almost tops that. Beautiful curves and circles and a great pov. You say there wasnt the light to do it justice, but imo you have. excellent |

Day 15by CharleneComment: I am guessing this is the model from yesterday (and day 8). A very different pose this time but once again it works excellently. Absolutely awe insipiring dof I love the loose strands of hair on the right.
This is a definite 'frame it'
Great border as well which enhances the overall effect |

Motion Control, Day 15by jackal9Comment: Lovely abstract (though to my shame I dont know what it is...farm equipment???)
I have to say coming through this B&W challenge I have found so many things that I admire about other peoples ability and with you it is the wonderful focus you get on very tight shots and the excellent contrasts, plus your eye for the unusual
Another lovely image |

fingerfloral.jpgby electrolostComment: Very interesting shot, the dof on the finger and the flower it holds are outstanding. For my own personal tastes I am not too sure about some of the PP (the flowers in the right hand corner) and the effect it has had on the lines on the skin, but I reckon I could be in the minority here |

14by sevilduvarciComment: Nice slice of life and you really get the impression that this person would have an interesting story to tell. Quite like the fact that there are people getting on with their daily life in the background and obviously whatever this chap is doing he is comfortable enough not to let them bother him
Interesting border, which gives the shot a film strip quality...I have to say I have looked at this about 6 times and 3 times I like the border and 3 times I dont (just looked up a 7th time and it is now 4-3 to like the border) |
