Blue, Day 17by jackal9Comment: DNMC DNMC!!!!!! Boo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually I look at this shot and think three things
1. How weird that trains in the states have blue wheel nose covers
2. If this is a 'reject' fro the Desat challenge I thank God that my team are not playing yours!!!! Because If I had produced this then not only would it be in but I would be telling the world about it
3. You have produced another great shot in this challnge
Good job!!!

Day-16-BW-Florida-IMG_1824-.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: Heres a weird thing, I find this really cool, but I am not sure why!
I think it has something to do with the way you have captured the fronds so indvidually and yet they are not sharp (as if there is blur from them swaying in a breeze). Two very different elements which have been somehow brought together seamlessly
Im glad that you avoided the temptation of making the background too harsh in terms of lightness
Lovely shot

Day 16by CharleneComment: Jeez...great shot love the pov and the fantastic focus, sharpness and tones. Minor thing the white cloud by the dogs nose looks a tad blown out (though the whiteness does set off the black nose pefectly) and there appears to be a bit of haloing where the cloud and the sky meet.
Having said that I do have say this is outstanding!!!!!!! |

DAY 17. B&W. wattle ..by rozComment: Roz, so many of your pictures make me smile!!!
This is beautiful, sharp, great tones and contrast
but the thing I really love about it is the fact that the background almost looks it should be a shadow of the main subject (as if it was shot in a studio) then when you look at the 'shadow' shapes you realise that they are very different to the subject and it gives you a real 'what????' sensation (in a good way)
Beautiful |

Day 17 - Sails in the Windby sherpetComment: Wow. Great shot, Not sure whether it is your camera setting or pp work but goodness, your dof, contrast and tones are always so good
You get a real sense of the SOH looming over you. Maybe a miniscule crop out (if you have cropped in) to the left so you could see a sliver of sky after the left most sail apex.
Got to say, if I had taken this it would be on my wall

Another example of ordinary things made extraordinary by you and my favourite of yours in the B&W challenge so far |

Black and WHite Day 15 - Tree Spaceby alexjackComment: Fantastic shot!!!!
Did you use filtered black and white? If so what colour.
This almost has an infra red feel to it. I love minimalism as well, and this is a great example of dead space working well.
Contrast and dof perfect and I can only agree that this would make an outstanding wall print
Love it |

Day-17by SandyPComment: Absolutely stunning
Soft focus works fantastically and every element combines to give this image a wonderful magical fairytale like feel to it.
I love this shot and the border you have used, and the end product is something that every girl ... and an awful lot of adults ... would want adorning their wall
Perfect |

Day 14 - Liverpool Street Stationby Bruce_the_RobertComment: How strange, I was at Liverpool Street last Thursday (its a station I very rarely use) and I was looking at the station thinking how it was an oft over looked axample of the beautiful architecture of railway stations (St Pancras being my fave) and here youve gone and captured it
Lovely dof and you have brought out the lattice iron work on the roof to perfection
Nice shot |
