On Guard (Day 13)by colorcarnivalComment: Well for me the crop you chose is just right, it puts the insect on a line of third and the pov with the bars really draws you towards the main subject. Stunning clarity on the grasshopper
Another top job |

Day 16 - Norwich Cathedralby Bruce_the_RobertComment: Lovely shot, the slight noise in the shot works really well given both that it is B&W and a night shot. Lovely perspective and I think the border works very well |

17by sevilduvarciComment: Hey cool, this is the same border style that you used a couple of days ago I think and it has a really tight impact here. great candid shot of what looks like a very eclectic group of people |

Day-17-BW-Sarah.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: Lovely natural looking portrait with a great smile and one I bet Sarah would love to have a copy of. Two random thoughts...the (reflected flash?) in the iris of her eyes is a touch harsh, and because she has such perfect skin the lighting on her left cheek and chin seems a little tough). Having said that I still think is a wonderful capture!! |

DAY 18. B&W. the 'good' and the 'bad' ...by rozComment: Well for me the sharpened image works very well for this and not only shows the protection but also makes the lines on the window stand out (as in appear 3d)
I agree with you about the crop, m thoughts on this (for what they are worth) is that basically this sort of centred shot works really well when you have got a symettrical pattern. because of the two windows and the mesh you feel as if you are going symettrical but then the right hand side of the arch although it is the same shape as the ledt hand side of the arch kinda throws the image out because of the difference in tones of each side. Just a thought |

B&W Day 16 - Pinesby alexjackComment: Well a very different tree image to yesterdays. The contrast gives this quite a foreboding feel to it, you'd bet a pound to a penny that there is something nasty lurking in the dark of those woods
Really interesting experiment which works pretty fine with the subject |

Flipby RetroesqueComment: Another totally different shot and I find it fantastic that in every shot of your family the thing that shines through beyond any single image is the love that is apparent in your house. Its a joy to see and a priviledge to share
Next time tell Auntie Kellie to bounce higher and capture her with a completely blank background for comparison...oh and dont forget......
USE YOUR TRIPOD!!!!!!!! :-) |
