Mallardby rileyComment: I keep coming back to this one, because I think there's the start of something really good here. The roughness and texture of the water makes it look really cold and foreboding. But the treatment is just too dark, the head, neck, and chest of the duck just disappear into black. I think I would have gone with a square crop, too, to get the duck more into the middle of the frame, instead of swimming out of it. |

Timelessby PERCOMComment: I like how the eye is drawn back from the kid to grandma. I really had to look to figure out what the 'match' was, but it was worth my time. Nice job. |

Second attempt.....by LimboComment: Awwww, poor guy....get that woody some prozac!
I really like the directional lighting, it does a good job of emphasizing woody's depression (I can't believe I just wrote that). But I'd change the direction a bit to bring up the light on the "rope" and matches. It took a sec for my eye to notice them, so I didn't understand the title at first. |

Frosty Mooseby EmerkazaComment: A cool (literally) moose! The color is a bit blue, which is easy to do in the snow on a cloudy day, since the light is bluer than normal. Taking care of the color cast would bring the moose more to life. |

Hipsterby Jason_CrossComment: Awesome headshot of the buffalo! The completely blown out white background is a little disconcerting, and I'm not sure it works, though. |
