Jun 01 After.jpgby Mr_PantsComment: Love it....makes me wonder why I bothered to buy white background paper. Oh. Right. I'm not that good at Photoshop.
Like the others, I'd watch it with the guy's skin. Not just his head, but the freckles on his arms, too. |

spiderhopper_edit.jpgby yankoComment: So, who was winning? The spider? Wow!
Love the edit. Totally. I'd really like to know how you did the reflection. That's exceedingly cool.
Oh...I just noticed a red spot on the body of the grasshopper, just above the back leg, and other small ones on the two bottom legs. I'm guessing those are just an oversight because you were working quickly. |

IMG_2226swan.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: Quite an improvement. I like the increased density of the water, especially. That contrasts with the swan really well.
What is that red dot behind the swan? Maybe it could be cloned out?
I'm also wondering about the unevenness of the burning of the grass and greenery along the shore. Chunks of greenery are noticeably brighter than others. Was that intentional?
Is there any detail on the swan's back, or is that totally blown out? If there's any detail, using a curves layer in multiply mode with just the swan selected will bring out the detail. |

day1_after.jpgby loveComment: Nice. I think you accomplished what you set out to do. My eye is definitely drawn to her eyes and the tattoo.
You might want to either blur the background slightly, or move her away from the wall, because I keep noticing the not-quite-straight brick pattern over her head. |

Day 1: Sunglasses/After/10mmby socalsteveComment: I like what you've done. The contrast and crop both work nicely to make an interesting shot better.
Would it help to clone out the pool toys in the upper right? Maybe replace them with a bush? It isn't a big deal, but they don't really add to the shot. |

Vienna at the parkby onesaintComment: Well, with ISO 800 and f/3.5 in the sun, you're not going to get any motion blur with an active kid :P
I've never figured out how to use CaptureNX, but it seems to be working for you. The conversion is lovely (as is the shot). I might consider cropping off some of the white blanket on the right. It doesn't add anything to the final image. |

2-june 08. before&after. a cowby rozComment: I had to take your original and just color correct it to see what you'd really done. I like the cross processed, high contrast look. It makes a simple cow edgy and arty. I'm not sure whether or not I like the fact that the cow is now green, but I'm also not sure if the cross processed look would work with a cow colored cow. |

1-june 08. before&after. paper waspby rozComment: I think it would have done considerably better than 5.7, although there's always the contingent that votes bugs down. I'd have given it at least a 7. I absolutely love the sharpening job you've done. It's just the right sharpness in the right places.
She looks angry with you.... |
