nice idea - I wish there was more contrast for the spinning top to make it stand out - the wood does not add anything substantial to the photo. The spinning top is a nice capture though. --- 7

If there was more contrast from subject to background I might get the sense of the spinning theme. You might have aimed "Around and Around" to be more more conceptual? I am trying to see it...been 8 minutes now...There is a contour line around the head that I find interesting - it does set the head apart from the background. More interesting is that eyes follow me - like Mona Lisa eyes...interesting! 9

The colors here seem muted - maybe the blue squares would have added more contrast in your composition.

Top Tango

There's a slight tilt to the left that seems whimsical - like dancing just for the heck of it - or like watching a child suddenly decide to skip on the sidewalk- like it was a magical time to do so. Your photo brought me true joy - nothing slick - no tricks. In fact, if I get a song in my head...those tops would tilt the other way too - just think disco (Tango works too). This seems to be essence of photography without all the smoke and mirrors that leaves a new comer like me perplexed with "How in the heck is that done?" - 10 many thanks ;)
