9th Street Gothicby banmornComment: Topaz. There it is. Does it work here? mmm...yes. I might be getting tired of everything getting topazed but it does work here. You're lucky.

Sleepy Headby luvmyaussieComment: really debatable whether this is a portrait or not. On the one hand it may capture the essence of you. On the other hand, it appears to be a picture of a shirt and some hair. I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt I think.
Challenge aside I do find the image compelling, well composed and well lit. |

The Poet and his Dragon Hatby Bear_MusicComment: Now how can anyone give you anything less than a 10? *lol* Alright. We all love you Bear but you aren't nearly as pretty as some of our other members. :)
Ok...to the shot now and all kidding aside. Your shot is a good representation of your character and shows a bit of who you are. Incorporating the sun was pretty cool and adds a bit of drama to the shot. The background, while mostly blurred out, unfortunately is still a distraction. Your focus is a touch off and looks like the camera decided to focus on your beard. Pretty hard to get really good focus on yourself so that's completely understandable.
Composition is ok but I think a lot of people went with the bullseye nearly dead center framing. For self-portraits its the easiest. Worse tragedies have occurred but it might have been worth trying different framing.
Overall? A pretty good job and who knows? maybe you have another profile pic! |

Juste Moiby evilbassetComment: some strange banding going on in the facial tones. Not sure what processing was used but that's probably the source. Its too bad because this is an otherwise great image. |

Beautiful Girlby JaimeVinasComment: Great exposure. I like the repeating pattern in the background as it helps draw the eye towards the model's face. Nice bright colors without being oversaturated. Good lighting and you've managed to capture a great catch light in her eyes. Overall? "Supoib!" |

What are little boys made of? Frogs and snails and puppy-dogs' tails...by GrayEllaComment: Not really a fan of the processing to be honest. I understand you were trying to draw attention to his eyes but the effect is rather unsettling. Its a shame because I think you got perfect focus on the eyes and the exposure is right on. I'd be quite interested in seeing the original for comparison once voting closes. |

Sadhuby drew_makeanimpactComment: Great portrait. The focus on the eyes is just a little off and it appears that the focus is actually on his nose. Great capture of his character and the exhaled smoke is an excellent touch. Well done. |
