Floralby SoulComment: This isn't a very interesting shot to me. The only portion is focus is the top left corner. It is flat middle grey tones and not much shown for texture. Although I know you tried. Maybe try reshooting with some added light, better focus more toward the front of the shot and perhaps a lower angle. |

Behind the Beautyby LouisaComment: Nicely done. Good composition, Great lighting and exposure, contrast is right on. dof works well. And it not only meets the challenge but it's interesting to look at. Good job. |

Rough Cutby PNHComment: Well done. I love the shadow on this. The texture of the wood contrasted by the feathers own unique texture and the darkness of the shadow all work well together. Good job. |

Bumpyby drewhosickComment: and hairy. Diffusing the light source would show off the berry a little better imo. For the most part the lighting looks good. It's just that one spot there that could be diffused a little. Maybe an added fill light on the right could show off the hairy stem a little better too. The colors look pretty good though. |

Birds of a Feather . . .by whitewolfComment: It's a bit hot on the lower left. This cold be improved by moving the light source further away. Not too much though or you'd lose the good quality of light on the rest of the shot. Good texture and overall well done. |

Mossy railby nzbayleysComment: If the focus is supposed to be the moss then maybe it would be a better shot to focus on the foreground moss and then recompose to where you have it now. I like the overall dof I just think the foreground moss would have made a better focus point. As is I have to look into the photo more to see the texture of the moss and back there I don't see it as well. The angle of the railing is good so I would still follow through to the rest of the photo which still has other interest and texture to see. |

Texture of a Wet Noseby irish_princess87Comment: Shallow dof works well to keep me on the nose which is your intent so well done there. The crop on the bottom cuts out a lot of texture though with that purple blanket so maybe a little less cut from the bottom would be better. It would also alleviate a bit of the tension caused by the muzzle at the bottom of the shot. Kind of give it room to breathe.... lol |

Is it football season yet?by SEGComment: Good composition. I like where the word wilson is. Just enough to know what it is but not a dominant feature of the shot. The lighting sets off the texture on the threading quite well. Maybe a tad increased dof would help. Just enough to bring focus to the foreground texture but not enough to bring the background in focus. |

Kiwano by ti_evomComment: This is very well done. It held my interest for a good bit. As I look for something to comment on the only thing I can find is maybe the droplet at the left near the center is a little distracting but in basic there's not much you can do about that. Cropping it out would make you lose too much of that wonderful green texture. Maybe during the shoot adjust the light or "style the fruit" by dabbing that spot would help. Great shot. |
