The hand rail on a foot bridge. Couldn't help but use my new lens (that I just love!)

If the focus is supposed to be the moss then maybe it would be a better shot to focus on the foreground moss and then recompose to where you have it now. I like the overall dof I just think the foreground moss would have made a better focus point. As is I have to look into the photo more to see the texture of the moss and back there I don't see it as well. The angle of the railing is good so I would still follow through to the rest of the photo which still has other interest and texture to see.

The image could be a little more dramatic. A little more focus would have helped this image score higher. A different DOF treatment would have been a better choice in that more avlinear approach to DOF either from the foreground to the background or vice versa may have been better. A good, solid entry into the challenge.

This shot makes me focus more on the perspective than textures. Nice eye though!

for this challenge i would like it more if the closer moss was focused so i could see the texture a bit more. very nice though

this is very good...I like your DOF...BUT (and I have tried to hold my hand up on the picture) I think...that if you had taken off the first part of the green moss on the bottom and gotten to the in focus area...it would be much improved...mind you...I like this shot alot
