flowerbee.jpgby EL-ROIComment: Looks good.
There are a few things you could do to improve it a bit though -
The cut off petals on the left edge jump out of nowhere - it would have been better to frame it without cutting them off, but you could crop them out now ?
Same with some of the bright white petals hidden behind the leaves (e.g., middle left of the frame) You can darken these up in photoshop to make them less apparent if you want to work on it more.
Might also be worth removing the marks on the coneflower petals on the bottom right - they break up the white petals a bit distractingly.
Otherwise - a good shot - the bee is very central - which commands all the attention in the composition, even though all the cones and lines point out towards the top right. I'd crop it square from the right edge and I think you'd have a much strong composition - losing the distractions on the left and framing things more evenly.

H2O by kiwinessComment: The identical marks come from the soft box used.
You can see similar reflections in the eyes of any model shot under studio lights - its pretty common... |

Cappuccino Crème Brûlée by GordonComment: Thanks! Lighting brought to you by under cupboard flourescent strips, and a saucepan lid used as a reflector. Message edited by author 2003-10-23 11:45:55. |

Sighby BlurryComment: Absolutely wonderful One of the best portraits I've seen. Graceful pose, beautiful light, stunning location. Marvellous. Shame we can only score to 10+
I would love to know more about this - was the light all natural or did you use any reflectors or assistance ? Is the processing just all pretty much from the camera or is some of the softness added later ? |

... Bunnyby dimitriiComment: Something about this just appeals - it isn't the best shot in the world but it just works. I'd almost cut off the bottom 1/3rd of the shot and just leave above the knees (9) |
