This was the first picture presented to me when I came into the Macro challenge.... I said to myself - I hope all submissions are this interesting - well, you know the rest of the story. I really like this. But, I am not so sure if the black background is the most effective color for the background..... Overall, good job!! I am raising my initial score from a 7 to a 9.

I really like this compositional idea...but, this lacks an overall "wow" factor. IMO, an in-focus capture of a complimentary color would have enhanced this, ie: one of the little flowers in bloom.
