You have an image that I expected to see a lot of in this challenge. Aside from the outfit that the skater is wearing, I don't see much that sets yours apart form the others. The blending is good for the most part but there is some halo effect around some of the skaters.

I think you blended a couple too many skaters in this shot and would have liked it better if you had done every other skater as opposed to every one. Still you got the technique down and I think that a 7 is a fair vote.

I think you have a neat photo here. I like the composition. My only quip is on technique. The bug on the ledt is quite a bit darker than the others. Is that because the light is falling off towards the intersection of the window frames, or because of different exposures in the frames. I am not at liberty to see the Exif, so I can't tell. I also see some haloing around a couplf the bugs that I assume is from the blending of the images.

Overall I really do liek the photos, especially the comp, but I don't think it is the strongest in the challenge, so I am giving it a 7.

I have to commend you for going outside of the box on this one. Well, in my opinion you have gone outside fo the box. You have taken a challenge that many of us expect to see one thing and given us a completely differetn interpretation of it. Unfortunately, I can only image the amount of DNMC comments that precede my comment.

As far as the image itself goes, I think that the vast amount of white negative space is a distractor to the image. While others may think it is genious, I find it to be overdone.

I like your idea and the fact that you took the risk in doing this, I just wish it was done a little differently. Still I am giving you a 6 for it.

I like your idea here. I think you have gone a step outside of the box from what the others in this challenge have done. But on the same tokem the translucent parts of the image detract from the image. If you had reduced the translucense of the arm and the falling pieces just a bit more I think you would have a real stunner here.

Still it is a great image and one that gets a 7 from me.

I like the fact that you have done a wonderdul job of blending the different shots. So many of these HDTR's are left with hard lines that detract from the overall view of the photo. You have managed to avoid that and I think that is awesome.

Composition wise, this is just awesome. The two monuments with the capital building in it really show what Washington is about. My only quip would be the building being cut off on the right of the Washington monument.

Still, this is a great shot, it fits the challenge well and is one of the best HDTR's I have seen. 8

I think that the processing on this image really enhances the overall feel. I like the old look of this old steamer and the soft colors make it all feel nostalgic. The tonemapping did a wonderful job, the only thing I would suggest is to add a little bit of softlight in order to boost the contrast a little bit. I think that this little amount of contrast boost will really make this image POP! I can only imagine that if this wasn't in a free study challenge that it would have scored higher. Despite that, it is still a fascinating image and one to be proud of. I bet it would even look delightful on canvas, maybe even mounted in a electric train set room for the conductor to enjoy!

What a great looking boxer. I miss my boxer, he is still in the states with his grandma. Fortunately I have his cousin, my little English Bully here to keep me company though.

This is a great pet protrait, and the stance of Zane really shows the posture and attitude of this wonderful breed.

Great shot!

I am surprised that this didn't score better than it did. It is a great photo and the use of duotones enhances the photo, as opposed to many of the entries that just converted a photo to dutone to fit the challenge. It is a shame the voters didn't appreciate your efforts more. It is still a nice score, but I think it should have been higher!
