Beautiful Bokehby PaigeComment: Beautiful girl, but the Bokeh is actually a bit distrarcting, and there isn't really enough of it. |

Bougainvillea Bokehby KemptonreporterComment: Very nice background, but there isnt quite enough of the foreground plant in sharp focus to really justify it being in the shot at all. With the leaves extending a reasonable distance back into the shot, and fact that the leaves are pointing in a lot of different directions makes it hard to get a lot of the green in focus, while still maintaining the background blur, so what I would have done if possible, is isolate a smaller amount of the grean foreground leaves, perhaps by zooming (preferably) or moving closer. That way the sharp field of depth you do have would be put to better use, and more of the foreground would be in focus. Still a lovely shot, well done :) |

Boatmen in a Songby kiranComment: Motion blur because you or the camera has moved isn't Bokeh, for Bokeh, the background is blurred because of the depth of field of your aperture, and the distance of the background from the lens. I'd guess you had to use a slow shutter speed due to the low light, which isnt ideal this challenge. Flash and/or a higher ISO setting would have been the only way to get the subjects in sharp focus, but any kind of true Bokeh would have been difficult in this situation. |

Where Light meets Seaby LifeLostComment: The background looks very heavily recovered, too much Shadow & Highlight manipulation I'd guess, which has given it a rather surreal look, but it looks strained because of the over aggressive levels adjustment. Good composition, and nice model |
