Wake Up

I'm not a big fan of most of the varieties of lillies. There are just so darn many of them around here. It seems to be the easiest 'throw it in' type flower to most everyones landscaping. bleh.

However, there is a few exceptions to that rule. This is a delicate lemony yellow lilly that I adore! I would love to have that one in my yard. The dark stamen contrast beautifully against the fragile looking petals.

Bees aren't mean, just very protective.
Bees only have one stinger and they die once they do, so they don't want to sting unless its the last resort.
Wasps on the other hand are mean! They regrow their stingers so they have no qualms about using it!
I love the fuzzy hairs on this fat little worker bee. So cute!

The image feels a bit underexposed. I would also dodge the yellows on the bee to make him stand out just a wee bit more.
