Fading Away...by yael27Comment:
Very interesting take on the challenge. Fits very well. Only thing I would have done differently is show the base of the candle also. It's questionable as it is if the candles are just staggered or if they really have melted down at different lengths of time.

Doing Their Duty...by lizzyc3Comment: Critique Club
Nice portrait. Definately meets the challenge. The only real weakness I see in it is I find it slightly softer than I would like to see for a military image. My personal belief is military images need to be crisp and clean with a strong focus rather than the softness. Other than that you have a good portrait going here.

Super Dogby WildpurpleComment: Critique Club
Congrats you definately met the challenge with this. I like this photo its amusing and charming at the same time. The dog has a very nice pose going. As for the way you have worked this in photoshop well it doesn't work for me. The graininess could be a plus if the dog was also a little grainy but it isn't. And the red being brought out on the shirt I'm not so sure of that either, you seem to have lost some of it and it leaves it a little rough looking. I would really like to see this before it was photoshopped. It just looks like a really cool pet photo that has been overprocessed. |

Sir William Lyons - Jag founderby johnmComment: Critique Club
As others have said this just work for me either in fitting the challenge. There just isn't anything here portraying a hero.
As for the image itself you need to work on getting rid of some of the reflections and glare in the image they are just to distracting. Also its slightly off in cropping, possibly tilted just enough to make you look at it and wonder?

Olympians, True Heros (Seoul Olympic Stadium)by docpjvComment: This just doesn't do a lot in the portraying of heroes. What I see here is a building and not heroes. With that being said now for the strengths of this photo. It is a nice exposure with good focus for the time of day. Message edited by HBunch - Removed Critique Club status. |

The Local Fire Department, Allways Readyby mfairbanksComment: I think you would have done a lot better by cropping in on the building there is just to much negative space and the fire station is to centered. Your idea here was good just needs a little refining. Message edited by HBunch - Removed Critique Club status. |

Balancing Actby lytaComment: Critique Club
Very pretty and definately does meet the challenge. The colors are good and very attention grabbing. The overall composition adds interest. The one thing I really don't like about this is the water droplets just seem to flat and without any depth to them.

Pink feathersby rameviComment: Color is very good here and the detail in the feathers makes this photo. It's biggest draw back though is the head and neck are slightly soft. Also I am questioning why the black background. I realize that it brings out the bird but it also makes it seem so unnatural. Message edited by HBunch - Removed Critique Club status. |
