Light Amid the Darknessby banmornComment: I don't see a dichotomy here - its a contrast. For a dichotomy, the elements should work against each other in some way. Nice colors and contrast. 5 |

In Harmonyby Alley CatComment: Not sure I see a dichotomy here - maybe a contrast. Interesting combination of elements. 5 |

Subjectiveby Gaby_GComment: Very mysterious. I like the use of background and shadow to enhance the contrast. Interesting composition. 8 |

Young and Oldby VitaminBComment: Nice use of color vs. black and white. Maybe the older shoes could have been in rougher shape - "scarred by life" as it were. Nicely done. 8 |

Elementsby notamartyrComment: How cool! I would have tried a gradient background tone rather than a flat black - something is needed to accentuate the water drop. Very creative interpretation. 9 |

Arrowheads: Ancient and Modern (on Wolverine fur)by ScholtenComment: There is something disconcerting about the fur template - it seems almost pornographic. This might say more about my psychology than your photograph, but it might be helpful to show the edges of the pelt so it is clearer what we are looking at. I think I would have had the arrowheads pointing at each other to play up the idea of dichotomy. Most interesting choice of subject. 7 |

Brothers - angelic and devilish!by snafflesComment: More of a contrast than a dichotomy. I don't think the depicted emotions and attitudes come through in the photo. I like the composition and the color pallette. 6 |

The Girl, The Womanby idnicComment: If this was done with costume and makeup effects alone, as it appears, it is a stunning achievement. If it was done with photo editing alone, it is still a stunning achievement because it looks so much like it was done with costume and makeup effects alone. I think the blank background takes away from the impact. 8 |

goooooooooooolby arsenalComment: I like it. Unusual right-to-left implied line - crowd as the subject rather than the game - very much captures the feel of the event. Did you try it with the color more saturated? |
