A nicely composed shot. My initial reaction would have been to include more of the car at the bottom, but I think you've made the right choice here.

The rear-view mirror looks a little oddly conspicuous. I would have experimented with slightly more of a downward looking composition; but that may well have lost the overall flow of the lines of the car.

I think the subject of the photo has a lot of potential, although I've a sneaking feeling I'll be looking at a lot more chess pieces before I've finished judging this challenge.

The texture on the pieces is quite absorbing, but I think it could've been framed better. Maybe you could have featured the white pieces more strongly, to come up with a more interesting composition.

Nicely framed, and interesting textures on the statue. But I would have chosen a different angle, I think. and maybe taken a different tack with lighting to get some more contrast. I do like the black background, though.

Neat idea, well executed. I like the off-centre composition. The background is just a little distracting - I would have desaturated the yellow channel a little (I think that's allowed with basic editing) to make it less intrusive. That might mean replacing the yellow pencil with one of a different colour, though...
