Horsesby StrikeslipComment: Congrats on your Brown! I thought you might be trying for a low score here and if I could have voted, I would have helped you out with at least a 2 or 3! :-D |

Pssst, Open the door and let me out of here!by CJinCAComment: Thanks for the comments and the 114 voters that liked it enough to rate it 5 or above, else I'd have the "brown" ribbon! I knew that this wasn't going to go over with the "literal" minded but I thought Mr. Bunny was so dang cute I had to enter him. :-) |

Taking a Breakby CJinCAComment: Thanks for the votes and comments, and for those who don't garden, the gloves are specially dipped in rubber to make them waterproof and the tool is a gardening trowel. Since I see and use this frequently, I thought everyone else would recognize them but I guess I was mistaken! :-) |

Oh NO!by CJinCAComment: Thanks all for the votes and comments! This was taken in natural light on a piece of computer paper and it turned out a bit brighter than I expected and ended up giving the drip a floating appearance. Also, using the macro lens, which I haven't used a lot yet, I really needed to shoot this at f/9 or more to get a larger DOF and have more of the image in focus. I appreciate all the constructive comments and I'm sure they will help me in the next challenge.

Honeycomb?by CJinCAComment: Thanks for the votes and comments! This is my first entry in these challenges and it has been an interesting experience. The unsharpened wood pencils have quite a bit of texture when viewed with a macro lens so while the image was not overexposed, using levels and contrast I more or less obliterated the texture. I also added a bright yellow color to simulate the color of honeycomb.
