I think the falling snow adds to the mood of the shot. I wouldn't change that. I don't care for all of the border but thats a personal choice not a detraction from your shot. Overall I think its captures the cold and dreariness of a dark winter's day very well.

Interesting processing. I'm not sure if I like it or not :-) I'd be interested in knowing what "look" you were going for.

Normally I'd point out things like the crop including the blurred grass in the foreground, the post an bird on the far edge of the shot the large amount of negative space on the right, etc. but I'm not sure that they were actually intentional or not?

Glad to see you are participating in this Bear. I like this very much. It has the "HDR" look that some would dislike but the full range of exposure it brings is wonderful in this shot. I love the leading line of the stream.

I don't know if this makes sense but I do find the negative space on the right competing for my attention all most as if the right and left sides are two seperate images. I'm going to have to come back to revist this one and sort that out :-)

This is what landscape photography is all about! Capturing the beauty of the interaction of nature and man at just the moment when the light is perfect. Just beautiful, I wouldn't change a thing. Well seen, well captured and well processed. One of the best of the year so far I think.

Very nice capture and pp! Perhaps a bit to centered on the tallest peak but that's a nitpick

Very nice as is! My first reaction is that I would like to see a slightly tighter crop but I can see that there are a lot of reasons why you wouldn't have wanted to. You wouldn't want to lose the tall grass at the left, you wouldn't want to lose the clouds at the top, you would want to loose the position of the lighthouse by cropping the right, etc.

I too would have consider a crop to remove the power lines and vehicle. It was my first reaction before reading the comments already made. For me the next thing is the flat lighting. Playing on dark and light is what really makes a landscape image pop. The light is against you here. Compositionally it good but the light is drab.

Very nice! It's tough to balance this full range of light. You pulled it off well. Very minor(probably not even worth noting) but I would like to have seen the composition slightly more heavy to the sky, i.e. slightly more sky less water. As cropped it's seems almost too centered for me. Especially with the beams of ligh reaching upward more sky would have been interesting to see.

On a positive note very nice B&W conversion capturing great tones. The area to improve on this one is the composition. Can't add much that hasn't already been said below. I defintiely consider this vista as a potential place for a re-shoot. I find myself going back to some spots more than one.
