Mhendiby KanchanComment: Yes, these are lines. But it's not a very engaging pose. It's more like "hold up your hands and I'll take a straight-up picture."
That said, as a snapshot, it's a great memento. I bet there's an interesting story behind those designs! |

Grainsby cryingdragonComment: Yes, there are lines. But if the main point is the texture, it should be very sharp. As it is, it looks like a deliberately blurred background waiting for a subject. |

Nautilusby epix05Comment: This presentation is pretty flat. Try another angle. |

Time Linesby SciPugComment: I like the model and her expression. But if your focus was her, the background (two different background, actually) is distracting. |

Linesby aimeethetooComment: Very strong composition. The color, placement, and shape of your model really contrast well with the horizontals. |

umbrella linesby super-daveComment: The colors are wonderful, and the placement of the hub works well. However, the large border distracts me. |

Veins: the life linesby Jaded_HousewifeComment: A couple of things about this shot disturb me, which might be your intent:
- the veins are lines, but make me worry something is wrong
- the child looks like he's wearing makeup at a very young age
Edited to reflect post-challenge reflection in general and specific commentary from Artyste. I still feel it's a disturbing photo, but I should have worded it differently. Message edited by author 2006-07-26 23:54:31. |

Linear ripplesby KHoltComment: Nice! I like how the lines form a steady background leading to the surprise of the duck's shape, which is so different. |
