Yeesh, black dogs are soooooooooooooo hard to photograph. You did well getting details in the majority of the fur. I like the traditional profile shot associated with scotties too, plus the ribbon. I think this is an excellent shot considering the technical difficulties to pull it off right.

The color contrast between dog and grass is good. I'm not sure whether it's a mixture of bad focus and neatimage or one or the other but there seems to be patches of detail and no detail that is a little offputting. The image also seems a little soft.

I like the overall monotone theme of the shot. The dog presents personality, especially coupled with his/her surroundings. The title is interesting. To me the image depicts more 'beware of the dog' than 'family' dog.

Nice warm and dramatic light, especially with the black background.

I like the negative space but the background seems to have a graduated color on the right. It could be purposeful but looks more like light falloff. The focus could be a little better on his head too.

Not sure if that is another seal in front or a rock (looks like a rock, tho), but I'd be tempted to crop the bottom up to the start of the rock. The OOF foreground isnt a distraction and the focus moves back to the seals. The colors are good and I like the layers.

The image seems a little small. In some ways the close crop can be good to avoid the background but I think this may be a little too tight. The coloring is good. I think the image is a little too static to be overly appealing, but flowers are certainly a good stock subject.

Looks a tad soft and although you have the diagonal thing going it seems a little haphazard in composition. The isolated background is good.

It's a popular stock subject choice. Background looks good. Not sure about the floating in mid air but as an isolated subject it works well.
