Day 7.jpgby socalsteveComment: You also might try your speedlight at a very low setting like 1/16 power along with the lights. |

Day 07 - Amaryllisby hajekaComment: Very nice lighting on this, and, yes, still a beautiful flower. It seems to pop off the page against that black background. |

Day 7 - DEANby GregoryBComment: That's really admirable that you work with kids like this. My wife and I are seriously considering the Peace Corp when we retire. It's a way of giving back for all the wonderful life we have recieved. I suspect you are feeling the same way. It's inspriring that you are touching lives. |

day 6. feb 08 slice of life. panoramaby rozComment: This turned out really well - especially for a hand held pan. It can be very difficult to keep the horizon level without a tripod. You found a really lovely spot. I love how the terrain moves from upper left to lower right in the pan which is also echoed by light to dark going the same way. Very well done, roz. |

Creek on Honeyrun Roadby cogeroxComment: Originally posted by socalsteve: Cool area - I wish I had scenery like that to see when I go running! (such is life living in LA). And nice shot too! How do you like your 18-200? I have the same lens. |
Absolutely love it. I rarely use any other lens except for macro. I've yet to find anything I don't like about it with the excetption that it's not a 14mm instead of an 18. Oh, well, guess I'll just have to fork out for the wide angle one of these days. |

Flaming Meatby AliciaComment: Well, the charring sounds ok, but the rest just makes me sad. He looks like a big hunk of expensive meat himself. Maybe you could BBQ him and serve him up at your next get together. |

Day_4_My Catby ApertureAshleyComment: Like the way her tail just emerges out of the darkness. At first I couldn't figure out what was going on. |
