Country Cliche by Girl from OZComment: Wonderful rendition of this cliche as I like the framing of the old and decrepit structure you're shooting in, as well as, the lighting and cloud formation outside. Really gives an eerie feel to this image. A classic! |

In My Placeby sjonniComment: Dynamic capture of waterfall and bird and the lighting is excellent. Just a couple of suggestions...First, I would have liked more of a close up of the bird, as it kind of gets lost in the falls. Not zoom in all the way, but closer than you are. Secondly, I think it would have been more effective of an image in color. Well done, nonetheless. |

Casual Livingby MaverickComment: I think some fill flash would have brightened up the lavender flowers and prevented them from being overshadowed by the more colorful sunset in the background. |

Little Forest Cottageby MonaComment: Colors are good but I'm not sure I like the composition. For one, I don't like the well standing in the middle of the shot and blocking out the main subject. Secondly, I find the structures not interesting and don't find that this photo presents anything new or exciting to me, but is just a photo to record the subjects. |

Working on the meat reservesby sahkoComment: What a way to slaughter a gentle and loving animal !!! Who knows if this pig is even dead yet... and they're cutting it up already. Makes me want to scream !
It's hard to tell yet just where you stand on this but it's a good photojournalistic picture depicting a part of life that most people would rather not see. I particularly like the expression that you've captured in the man's face holding the knife on the left.
If you have a "heart" then this photo is evocative and emotive. If not, then it merely exhibits the technique of a cold and calculated death with good exposure and focus as there's no question how this animal died..a slow torturous boil to death followed by a skinning and butchering. Guess I"m of the former type and judging by your title, you are of the latter type.
I'm still giving you a high mark. |

...and we have a picture window, too!by autoolComment: Very nice colors, and I like the frame within the frame concept, but I think you've focused on the wrong element in the picture. The structure pictured within the window should be more focused less on the inside wall framing the main structure. |

Daily Shows from 5 A.M. till 8 P.M.by jjbeguinComment: Absolutely beautiful framing of the image by the tree branches above and the grasses below. Just not a whole lot of interesting subject matter in the center part of the photo. Also, I'm kinda neutral about the B&W. |
