Dallas Alley by crabappl3Comment: Very effective night shot. I like the perspective created by the rings of light and it's off-center placement. Also like the skyskraper in the background. Nice job. |

Night Walkerby catpixelComment: Focus is too soft thougout the whole picture. It would be much better had the woman on the left been in focus more since she seems to be the subject of your photo. |

gettin' down/ a night on the townby pupparazzoComment: Love the composition and the DOF is very effective here. What I don't like: glass leans inward, excessive noise, harsh lighting (wish it were softer) and one of the pool balls behind the glass is slightly showing which I find to be distracting. I would normally mark down for these flaws, but the composition and DOF is so strong that I"m going to give you a high mark. I would hope you would make this available as a print once it's cleaned up. Good job! |

Night warriorby zepequenoComment: This is a really cool picture! I love the way the red car stands out in relief against the mostly blue/green skyline and the way the buildings and car seem to float in black space. There are just a few improvements I would like to see. First, and foremost, the buildings lean right, and that could be corrected easily in a photoediting program like PS. Secondly, focus seems soft and finally, I think the car should be placed off-center. Otherwise, very creative and unique. Love it! |

A Family Tradition by moodvilleComment: Very nicely captured rich and smooth duotones. I also like the silhouetted crowd in the foreground. The way you''ve captured the fireworks is really good. Excellent work. |

night on the lakeby zazuoComment: One of the few fireworks pictures I like in this challenge. Reflection in the water is really neat and I also like the palm tree leaves you've include overhead. Colors are very nice. Horizon appears to be tilting left...you needed to straighten that out. |

Blockbusterby welcherComment: Nice colors but the fountain and building are both slanting inwards. |

Venice (Lido) at nightby emerpComment: Don't know if this scene was so bright in real life, but it appears to me to be overexposed. While I like the perspective and how it leads the eye in, it leads to nothing interesting to view...the bridge/arch in the background is just too small to really appreciate. |

"paseo de los tristes"by bleexComment: Colors are very nice and the picture on the whole has a painterly quality about it. I think you've captured very well the lighting, and feeling, of dusk. The light dead center, and in the upper right are distracting, though...Perhaps you could have changed your viewpoint? Also, the buildings appear to be leaing in quite a bit, and focus could be sharper. |

Flirtingby heidaComment: I find the picture imbalanced with two glasses and just one face. Your subject's smile and vivaciousness is very attractive and certainly captures what appears to be a very pleasant meeting. DOF is excellent but I find focus could have been sharper on the woman's face. In addition, I think the photo would have been more effective in color. |
