Greetings from the Critique Club!
I'm surprised how this shot fared. I didn't rate it so highly because I don't think it's a technically well-done photograph and even though it's somewhat interesting, it wasn't enough to carry the shot. Now I'll try to back up what I'm saying so you don't think I'm just some random jerk.
This shot looks hue adjusted. It has the noise like blues with greens, reds with blues...it doesn't look like this shot was taken like this. I think maybe you brightened it up too much, or something. The post processing really hurt it.
The focus works well for this shot. The woman's 'pose' and blowing out smoke aren't all that nice. I don't find it attractive, nor do I find it particularly pleasant. I think the smoke adds to the mood, though it's not a mood I can relate to.

| I really like the composition of this photo. The glass in focus with the woman blowing smoke in the background is really inventive. The only problem is that it looks a little noisey. You might want to try NeatImage, that could clear that up. Very nice work. |

| Love the composition and the DOF is very effective here. What I don't like: glass leans inward, excessive noise, harsh lighting (wish it were softer) and one of the pool balls behind the glass is slightly showing which I find to be distracting. I would normally mark down for these flaws, but the composition and DOF is so strong that I"m going to give you a high mark. I would hope you would make this available as a print once it's cleaned up. Good job! |

| nice shot, but it could have been better if u could move the glass more to the right in order to expose the lady's hand while hitting it. DOF and lighting can be enhanced. Frozensun |

| I like this image - especially the composition and depth of field. It appears a bit grainy though (maybe that's because of how it looks online). Sharpening would be an improvement, in my opinion. |

Good composition and I like the cropping you chose. Cutting out the right edge of the glass and the back of the woman's head give this image an edginess that makes the viewer feel like he's in the photo's action.
I wish the image wasn't so grainy but I'm guessing that is a product of the size limitations.
