Heads Upby pcodyComment: I like the harsh and directional lighting on the cat, especially the effect it has on the eyes. The shadow even gives the cat a tail ! Background is not evenly lit and it appears that someone's shadow is visible. |

Slickrock Sunriseby dsidwellComment: Colors are so rich and vibrant. Composition is excellent too except for the shadow smack dab in the middle of the picture. |

Green Lizardby stuartComment: This is an amazing shot. Lighting is superb and it's so life-like and 3-dimensional I thought this little creature just blinked it's eye. Only weakness I could see is maybe the lizard's face is a bit too dark, but that's minor. |

Barns and Iceby MJENNIComment: I like the grain you've included, but I find the composition and placement of the structures to be odd. I think you could have also cropped about an inch and a half off the top as the sky has no interesting detail. Would have also liked to have seen this in landscape format. |

barkby johnny_justjohnnyComment: Not that bark can't be interesting, but a more creative way to have dealt with this subject, for instance, would have been to have cropped the image in landscape format, put a large white border around it and title it:" Bar(k) Code. |

San Francisco Museum of Modern Arts Buildingby royansComment: Though too busy for my tastes, I like the interesting geometric shapes and colors, as well as, the way my eye is lead into the picture by the gold wall. I think you could have also shaved off about an inch off the top. |

Desklight Coverplate Abstractby wingyComment: Interesting abstract, but would have had more impact for me if maybe a single toned color was lighting it in an interesting fashion. It appears a little to drab for me now. |

Play A Chord...by WILDBLUEComment: I'm not sure what to make of this color. Not sure what you are communicating with it. Green is usually associated with cool, calming and balancing, but this is almost a neon/electric green. Not sure it goes with an acousitc guitar. Secondly, I like the fact that the far edge of the guitar has been faded and is indiscreet...it's an interesting effect, but I wish the near side would have had the same treatment. Or, if both sides black borders were visible. An interesting photo nonetheless. |
