Choice of color and composition in this image is excellant. The soft shadow is terrific.

It is difficult to create a color image with the same balance of light and shadow that monochrome images have when they are rated high. But this images does it beautifully. I really like the combination of browns that set this image a cut above the others.

Great idea with the shells. Wonderful composition. This is a beautiful image.

I'd have been tempted to crack the egg, remove the yoke, include only the shell fragments and place them in the upper third quadrant. This would have dovetailed with the "shell" concept really well.
