True Innocenceby DeniseBernadetteComment: This image has a great background and is composed exceptionally well. This image had potential.
The general low technical quality of the image will prevent it from getting a high score. The color balance of the deer seems off. It is too blue. The DOF of the deer itself is shallow which makes the snout out of focus. Overall clarity of the image is poor.
Wish your camera could have captured this image better. It is really a good shot. |

The Making of Beautyby idnicComment: Conceptually this is a very good idea and the white background is great.
The general technical quality of the beauty aides pictured is not particularly good. I'm unsure what to do about that. One thing you consider is to shoot at a shallow DOF and set the beauty aides at different distances from the camera so that some are in sharp focus and others are soft focused. Also, put some powder on the brush and add the applicators to the two open containers to make it look as though they have just been used. This would imply that beauty has just been created and is very nearby without actually showing it. That is powerful. It would make me think the user of those products is both gorgeous and glamorous and someone I'd like to meet! |

Finally, A Silver Liningby ebertdjComment: The shadow streamers just above the horizon are the strongest part of the image. Though it was your specific intention the silver lining is overexposed. If you could have "narrowed" the thickness of the silver lining it would be more effective. The foreground does not have a lot of interest to complement the sky. If you could find buildings or vegetation to frame the sky center to a much larger degree it would add a lot of interest to the composition and justify the large amount of foreground silhouette you already have. |

Isla Contoyby BaldurTComment: Overall the framing of this image with the palm trees is excellent. This image is begging to have something or someone in the foreground just left of the palm shadows as a main subject. Unfortunately, the post processing might have harmed the image more than making it more interesting. It also looks like the horizon is not quite level and high on the left side. |

Heartsby amsmythComment: This image has decent color contrast and composed well for the angle from which it is taken. Overall this is not a bad picture.
However, this would be more interesting if the flowers were taken from the side rather than from above. From above gives it more of a snapshot quality. It has background noise that should be removed. If you shot with a little more DOF the lower left flower would be in sharp focus. But if you have to make a choice then the closest flower to the camera is best to have in sharper focus rather than the stem just behind the flowers. Judicious use of dodge and burn would add more contrast and depth to the image which would make it more dramatic and interesting for the viewer.
The image, "Complements", in this challenge is a great example to learn from. |

Where to look?by zerodeanComment: Exceptionally well setup image. Good lighting. One of the best images of the challenge. Very professional look with your model's pose and the way the red background gives way to the dark shadow on the left. I'd clone out the rabbit ears emerging from the bra and the slightly dark shadow on the red just right of her forearm. I'm probably not keeping up with the times but navel jewelry is a distraction in this image to me. You capture beauty in a very erotic and effective way. Great job. |

Father Skyby ElGordoComment: Very dramatic cloud formation that is effectively presented. Wish you would have had a more interesting foreground for that sky. It still should be a top finisher and will make a perfect sky replacement for the right landscape image. |

Blue roseby nico_blueComment: This is one of the best images of the challenge. Very well done. Reminiscent of kosmikkreeper's blue ribbon winning image, "Nature's Spirals", from the three's challenge. I'd consider a slightly greater DOF and place the bud center just inside the lower left ROT intersection point like in jmsetzler's ribbon winning image image "Pianissimo".

Orchid Delightby grahampComment: Excellent color and framing. Even though it is a part of the blossom I'd recommend cloning out the skinny curly parts coming up from below the frame. They add nothing to the composition and they are distracting to this gorgeous shot. Still, this is one of the best images of the challenge. |

Complementsby banmornComment: Great color, great lighting, great clarity, solid background. Your exceptional technical quality should make this a ribbon winner. |
