Postmaster R2D2by krafty1Comment: Really doesn't lift my heart to see this picture. Shame, that, because the picture quality and the fact that it addresses the challenge right between the eyes gets you 8 anyway :) |

Vinyl is making a comebackby MelethiaComment: A quick run through the entries shows that maybe 'pop culture' is too nebulous a concept for people to agree on. The innocent(?) bystander here really helps to set it off and define it. 8 |

peacock in the snowby skewsmeComment: You can't win, really. I think when I looked at it I didn't look long or hard enough to see that it actually is in the snow. I think it was probably worth more than the 6 I gave it. D'oh...
Very neat effect, anyway, bravo. |

Wherein His Majesty Reclinesby raishComment: Thanks for all the comments (both before and after).
According to the file numbers, I reeled off about 19 shots at this lot, most of which involved bouncing a flash off a white umbrella. When I got round to processing, I saw how dead the flashlight was, albeit even.
The cat, of course, popped up entirely according to his own whim. I liked the idea of including the stove as a complementary framing element, but nothing could justify the inclusion of the space between the stove and the sofa. Funny, that.

well balanced chairby SimpaComment: It's the duck that makes it. You would have scored higher if more people had paid attention to the duck.

Full Moon on Red Wallby JuliBocComment: Well spotted, clinically clean composition (with possible penalties for alliteration), Julianne - worth more. |

California Homeschoolingby PhotologistComment: Great challenge entry. Picture drives the idea and idea drives the picture. Actually the title's in there driving too, but they're all going in the same direction, so it works! |
