Is there a bird on my head?by MelethiaComment: "Well hey, if she's using the transform function seh could have just stretched us out a little".
"What, is she with the Spanish Inquisition?"
"I'll offer up a prayer". |

Larva Lamp in a Cold Climateby raishComment: Callooh! Callay!
Larbinal frooms of emotion.
I may have to stomp down to the galley and shout at someone to release it.

blue eyeby k4ffyComment: Typing 'Oslo' into the location field of profile search here gives thirteen hits, or fourteen for you, as I would be one of them. With four members and about five or six who have participated in more than half-a-dozen challenges, you get four pictures of this:

With 150 located in London, you might expect the odd picture of the eye. You'd have to go some not to see the difference between this and the 'spinning' one.
Well done, congrats on the pb. |

Two Bridges, Dartmoorby SteveJComment: The contre jour effect makes it dark and dingey and it whispers 'Broadmoor' to me. About 100% of the voters wouldn't have made that sort of connection though, which is a shame, because it adds to the whole. Nice shot. |

Ouvrez la Cage aux Oiseauxby raishComment: It's badly focussed, badly processed and I can see a couple of things I could do if I did a re-shoot. Those are fundamental flaws that come from my using too little time and energy to make the picture.
I left the diagonal rotation lines in for fun.
The cage is, in fact, open. The duck was originally the back of a hairbrush but decoy ducks are popular ornaments in a lot of places, I think. The cage, the cage being open, the alluded song and the kitschy brass photo-frame are all elements of popular culture, though none of them directly belong to the USA or Western Europe.
Thanks for all the votes and comments.

Messengerby donenrightComment: Right then, joke's on me as I now have to plough through 564 images and bump them all (yes, all of them) up. There'll be a third run through for fine tuning. It's day two three four now and I'm running late, sorry.
