First off the photo isn't sharp at all and the flash is entirely too brite. Then there is nothing in the background or near her to imply a point of focus to be the topic of the photo much less imply a dark thought. I also agree with fotoman_forever on the cookie cutter junk, it's not a great effect you applied, because it IS much sharper than the photo. Now, if the image was sharper and the effect had a red hue to it to imply the insanity of looking at a person and wanting to murder that person, then the idea of the image would work.

Keep trying, I really think you had an interesting idea and that with a little more work you will get it!

This one is much better. The frecles are visible giving character to her face. Also the eyes have more detail to them. It would still help a bit to whiten the whites of the eyes a bit. Be careful to not overdue it though.

very cool capture, but my issue is with the border. you have a thick one seperating the images, but a pencil thin one around it.

Ely Cathedral

It's a very nice cathedral and I'm a superfan of vaulted celings. They have so much character. However maybe try having the middle be the full shot and the two on the sides be a closer look at specific items of the catherdral being the vaulted celings up close to see the texture or the glass windows or the organ all closer to, i guess romantisize it. To show off it's uniue characteristics.
