It's difficult to write a comment after that I read your comment. the black and white seems flat and the cut on the head isn't beautiful. but is a self portrait and this change the comment. it's difficult a self portrait but if there are two subject there are majors problems.

Hi, I think that this image match the contest. the composition follow the thirds rule. I haven't a great feeling with this image because there are some reflection perhaps obliged on the leaf with loss of the detail.
On some stones I see the whites burned and a small definition.
Some unusual colours of the background leave to think me to a saturation excess.

I want write a comment on two aspect of this photograph. from technical aspect I think that you need a major contrast. second aspect. on the book there are insects....and if you put human faces? the hands of the child replaced by an animal (toys of course). 6
