Dirty Jobsby faeryComment: Of course any score north of 6 is great but I'm trying to figure out why this image didn't score higher. Perhaps because the bug is mostly in the shadow of the dookie? I suggest the next time you shoot a dung beetle you request that he please place himself with his back to the sun! : ) |

Untitledby togtogComment: I like this shot. It gives the impression that it's telling a story - could be a frame from a movie. The down-pour and the expressions on the kids faces create interest. This would have done much better in a photojournalism challenge - Free Study's can be brutal. I agree with your choice to leave the mailbox in the crop. If you removed it then it would not be clear that these kids are on a road. Nice capture. |

Sheesh man...give me some credit! I may be blonde but... : ) I have several reasons for using the plunger...not the least of which was to allow me to stay put rather than continuously resetting myself (under black fabric - getting my hands and mirror right - resticking my cheapo fingernails, etc.). It's not like a simple bubble shot or deer head! ;) |

"The Story of the Youth Who Went Forth to Learn What Fear Was" by bspurgeonComment: My eyes immediately went to this image in thumbnail when I woke up an hour past roll-over last week and began to scope out my competition. At the time I had 20 votes and an 8.667 and I had the feeling that yours was ahead of mine...and so it was, and deservedly so!! Magnificant capture that perfectly meets the challenge. I'm so pleased to take the red behind this blue ribbon winner. Congratulations on your first ribbon and a WHOPPER of a PB!! Adding to fav's. |
