Stair shadowby MelethiaComment: This is the best shot in the challenge but may not make the top 20. Something you are accustomed to? 10 |

blue/orangeby pointandshootComment: Thank you all for your comments and critiques. This is a purple flower in a five gallon bucket of old and separated yellow paint. The paint was stirred to create the 'leaves'. An adjustment layer "selective colors" was used to change to orange/blue which was more dramatic than the original yellow/purple. Glimpse of 1865by BalkoComment: I picked this as a top 3. I love the composition (rule of thirds inside a rule of thirds) and your colors give this a sureal "painting" feel. The balance between the outside and inside light is perfect. Not showing the face give this an air of mystery - I think showing his face would have ruined this photo. There are times to break established rules and this is an example. Keep shots like this coming, even if they are not always rewarded with high scores. |

Stockholmby PainielComment: My favorite of this challenge - the oversharpening gives this a unique "cut-out" look. Great composition and depth. Very creative. |
