Midway Village Water Millby dave2119Comment: Oh no, another great photo which will incur a visit from the border police - word of warning, I used to use borders on this site, but some people hate them with a passion and will mark down anything with a border. Best not to add one unless absolutely neccessary.
The photo is excellently composed, maybe needs something to zest up the lighting, but pleasing all the same. |

The sound of gravel under your shoes.by jjbeguinComment: Tremendous composition. I guess you run the risk of the border police with this, in that not many people really appreciate a border, and will knock off points when they view it as excessive. I like a border and won't be knocking any points off. |

Church of Mary Magdalene, Minsk, Belarus, Built in 1847by skiefComment: very nice building, but the lean of the verticals really spoils what could be a fantastic architecture shot. Difficult to control with a wide angle, but shooting from as high a stance as possible tends to reduce this effec a little.
Good work |

"Maybe I'll get some meat too...!"by neatizzyComment: ok - this is going to sound really negative, but I hope what I have to say will be taken in a constructive manner.
This image has the feel of a snap. the lighting is ... well frankly attrocious, there are unfortunate shadows behind the dog.
The fork is washed out in the highlights and feels out of focus.
The diagonal line of the table edge really just cuts the image in half for no good effect.
On the bright side theres a hell of a lot to improve on here, you really can learn a lot from analysing the negatives. |

Hope of the Futureby ckalliesComment: flat lighting isn't helping this image. Have a look at some of the better rated baby pictures when this challenge finishes, you will see that they have used the light to really get an atmosphere. This one lacks that, and is a simple 'snap'.
You will learn a lot from analysing the other baby photos. |

Mirrored Hopeby ddngComment: struggling to make the connection to hope, except in the title. Nothing in the image makes me feel hopeful, though I do like the reflections |
