I would have done a levels adjustment or used selective color as to make the almost-white become more white, as it just seems like it would be more visually "right" that way. But the colors are very lovely and the composition is nice. I also love the sense of motion in the image.

I think the image itself is beautiful! My problem would be with the border - because the outside edge is so dark (the lovely vignette) it doesn't work at all with a white border, to me, because my eye is brought to the border and the harsh line between black and white.. No border or a black one would be better, and that way the light part that stands out would be your subject alone.
