She has a great expression, and like the shot very much. If I would change anything, maybe I'd go for a shallower depth of field to blur some of the things going on in the background.

The very light sky doesn't bother me at all. If this was a landscape photo, maybe then it would be a distraction. I like the crisp detail you've captured in the lighthouse. If you had exposed to get better detail in the sky, you would have lost it in the darker features of the lighthouse. Personally, I like it the way it is.

These trees do look like many I have seen here after our October wild fires...except for the snow part. Very pretty photo, but I agree, it could use a little more contrast.

Sandy, this photograph is amazing in both color, and black and white. The sharpness is incredible, especially around the eye and head. The lighting on the butterfly and the leaf is perfect, and the bokeh in the background adds interest in the negative space.

Your photos are also so interesting! I like the framing of the subjects by the posts, railing and roof line. It looks like the woman is trying to explain something to the man standing there (isn't that the way it always is? ;-))
