Our kitten - more of a teenage kitty now but still a big baby. Absolutely horrible model though - this is one of the few shots where he is not moving, blinking, or trying to wrestle the camera away from me.

Again, taken in colour, converted to b&w. Taken with zoom lens and cropped. Minor levels adjustments and resized for web.

I really like this one. The detail in and around the eye is excellent The tones are nice as well.

Nice tight crop and good detail, I might clone out the catch light though.

Kitty! I'm a sucker for cats. What a gorgeous portrait. She seems to be focused on something else momentarily - glad you could get this shot. Love the clear, crisp lines.

Great lighting and awesome focus..I would suggest one thing..fix that lighting in the pupil. That's the only way I can tell you used a flash.

I like the composition here and strong B&W conversion. That cat sure looks focused on something; perhaps planning on how to rip that camera right out of your hands.

:) He may be a horrible model -- but he strikes a very nice pose for you in this one. I love these in-your-face cat portraits. And she will ALWAYS be a baby to you, won't she :)

My cat does the same thing when she sees the camera. Even at 12 years old, she sees me with the camera and has to come up to it and check out what in the heck it is I keep pointing at her.
