I love shots like this. The abstract, layered look is very well captured. I would prefer to see it brightened up and saturated a little more. I think I would have framed the scene a little more to the right to show more of the bright area on that side. As it is it is just a little too dark for me but it is still very interesting. 7 -Tim

Canyon of the Mighty Waters

This is a very interesting photo and there is so much that I enjoy about it. My initial thought was that it would be better if you used a real slow shutter speed (with a very dark ND filter) to soften the water but then I started realizing that the texture in the water is fun to look at and matches very well with the rocks and trees. This presents a tough lighting situation as evidenced by the over exposed sky. A Polarizer filter or a Split Neutral Density filter may have helped to maintain the blue in the sky. I probably would have framed the scene a little more to the right to show a little more of the water at the bottom right. Nice job. 8

Battle of the elements

Nice windmill. everyone has such cool stuff to photograph. Ok, I do too. I just see it all the time. I would not crowd the right side with the windmill blade, move it in a little. There is a nice red color in the scene so I would try to show more of the red grass or shrubbery in the foreground. As it is you are just tempting us with it. Technically it looks very sharp and clean. Nice job. 8

Moonlight

This is very lovely. I really enjoy the colors and the brightness of the moon (full?) The composition is nice and there is a proper amount of contrast where you can still see detail in the trees. It looks a bit grainy like you had to push the exposure a bit. Neatimage can help reduce the noise while maintaining sharpness. Good job.

I wish it would snow here :( I love the snow mounds and your composition is very good. This might have made a great black and white. I'm not sure about the shrubbery behind the fence but it does add some visual interest. 8

this looks like an interesting place but I don't find the photo too compelling. It might just be the angle. I would like to see more of the river and less of the washed out sky. It looks like a difficult lighting situation. Have you used a polarizer filter to deepend the blue in the sky and reduce reflections? Any camera with a tripod socket can accomodate one. 5

Wow, this is an excellent photo. The lines, shapes, colors, and contrast or great. I'm having a difficult time fitting it into 'landscape' fully but I am still giving you a 7.

This is very beautiful. I would love to be there. The rock in the foreground really adds to this photo. The colors are very nice, the composition is good and I like that there are people in the scene. The horizon line looksa little tilted, though. 8

This photo just shouts black and white or sepia to me. That way the focus would be on the shapes and textures of the land rather than the colors. I also don't care for the square format. It just doesn't work for me. 6

like this photo quite a bit but it seems a little busy around the buildings. I wonder if there was another view that showed more of the buildings but still had the same kind of beautiful reflections. 8
