This entry DNMC, I clearly see that you were trying to take a picture of your washing machine and laundry soap and somehow your kid was hiding in laundy basket. Instead of voting on this image and giving you a 10 it really deserves, I'm going to give you two thumbs up. That's much better anyway...

Make sure your White Balance is on the correct setting. If you have a fluorescent light in your kitchen set your WB to fluorescent. Also you may want to shoot in RAW, that will allow you to adjust your image in processing.

Read this on your camera, it should help you understand some settings and how to take pictures.

Also you might want to use auto color before editing your images.

I thought this was the cutest image on the site by far. Too bad it didn't finish first but that was a tough spot to fight for. Image is perfect in everyway and is just simply beautiful. Nice to see a Nikon shooting something this sharp as well. Great work.

Is there anyway you could post the original before you leave??? I do agree with you as far as not seeing the original. I know EXACTLY how you feel man. I was DQ'd for something similar. I think you should fight it and ask for a recount.

This is why I wanted to change the rules, to make it completely clear for everyone that you can or can't clone out certain items. If it was background you cloned out I think it should stay, but we would need to see an original to try and help.

This is also why we should have other people auditing SC̢۪s decisions on DQ̢۪s
