I'm thinking that maybe the idea in your head was much better than the one that came out, which isn̢۪t a bad thing if it was like that. You just need to work on it. I do it all the time. I am actually thinking of a picture now but getting it on screen is not so easy. Anyhow... I don't know what you used as a background but I'm thinking that it's wrong. Maybe try some glass or something to allow your BG to become more OOF instead of in focus. JMO

I don't really see this as "pure food" but I do see him drinking water all like this. Maybe the title isn't really helping the picture that much. Other than that this image would be a good one if some of the grass blades werent in front of his face.

Great DOF but I think your imgage is a little bit too busy. The purple in the background is distracting the eye flow and the greeen causes my eyes to wander all over the screen.
