Day 27b - Cactus Crystalsby sherpetComment: Fascinating the way the droplets adhere to the spikes. They're pierced, impaled rather than resting on them. It's not an easy subject to photograph, but an attractive one, none-the-less. |

F-16 Jet Engine HDR.jpgby BHusemanComment: Looks like something related to brute force. I suppose that's sort of true. Without your explanation, I would not have guessed. |

Stepping On Itby e301Comment: I just could not bring myself to vote of any of the entries for that challenge. I took one look at the thumbs and said, that's it. Usually, I am diligent in voting. At least your entry was a little inspiring. The ramp, a politically motivated architectural adaptation possibly, is an interesting counterpoint to those classic steps. It's like a random frame from an art-observant life, at least as suggested by the freeze-frame walker. |

Apache Trail1by ArpeggioAngelComment: It's a dramatic landscape and I can see the clouds were obscuring the sun. The rusty colours certainly come out. There seem to be some haloes around the mountains and near-shore cliffs. Otherwise, I rather like the composition. I imagine it would be a great location in more dramatic weather. |

Solitudeby AtlantisComment: I reckon that just as an ordinary photo (without the Hollywood border) it would still be a delight. |

Serenity Foundby idnicComment: Pretty location. One one hand slow shutter speed renders fountains ethereal; on the other, a fast shutter speed makes for jagged water, if you know what I mean. It's already a busy photo with so many textures. I reckon ethereal water would work better to counterbalance the exuberant texture. 0.02 cents worth next to nothing at the USD present exchange rate on world markets. |

Winter homeby whiterookComment: That shot goes back a year or two. Sitting here in Brooklyn, NYC sweltering as it hits 90 today, I can appreciate that cool view. Pleasant enough colours therein. |
